A practical bid writing session - bring your own for help from an expert!
This course is designed for both people who have bid writing experience and those who are new to it and want to practice their technique under the guidance of the trainer. The workshop recaps some key points, delivers further information on fund raising and culminates in a practical session whereby participants can work on a real bid they are developing, or work on a simulated bid.
- Analysis of funding conversion rates (why bids succeed/fail)
- Funder drivers i.e. identifying funder priorities
- Constructing an effective bid / ‘framing’ : analysis and development of the key sections and headers which make for effective funding bids
- Target setting – outcomes, outputs and planning ahead

Benefits to you:
By the end of the workshop, you will be familiar with the key principles in bid writing and be able to think creatively about ‘framing’ your bids. You will know how to write concise and unambiguous answers to questions in application forms and have explored techniques which improve your bid writing skills in order to compete successfully in the funding ‘market’.
This is a very practical session and as such, it would be advantageous for participants to bring an application which always enables the learning to be transferred to a real bid.
