Community360 and Voluntary Sector Training to merge
11th August 2017
Community360 and Voluntary Sector Training (VST) are excited to announce that they will be merging from the 1st September 2017. The Board of Trustees of both charities have agreed that, by coming together, they will be able to offer an enhanced training provision to the voluntary and community sector across Essex, with a more sustainable future.
Together the organisations will merge under Community360, and will immediately take advantage of some new opportunities to benefit groups to access training. The opportunities include access to newly refurbished training facilities in central Essex to support learners, as well as more on-line based learning in partnership with Healthwatch Essex.
Tracy Rudling, CEO said “We are very excited about the VST team becoming part of Community360, which will bring opportunities and strength for both organisations. We are particularly looking forward to building new relationships with charities and other voluntary groups and looking to see how we can improve even further the range of services we deliver that benefits the communities we serve.”
The merger will not impact on planned services, but will seek to enhance additional capacity. VST’s Autumn programme has already been released offering a wide range of courses, from volunteer management to trustee training and finding funding.
Chris Jullings, Chair of the VST Board of Trustees said “VST has a long history of providing high quality affordable training to the sector. The Board of Trustees and staff are delighted this will continue and grow through the merger with Community360, a trusted partner”.
