Who is it for?
People who come into contact with service users who have mental illness problems ranging from the mildly anxious to the serious enduring illness.

What is about?
It will give participants a basic understanding of the types of illnesses, treatments and services available, as well as information on the Mental Health Act.

What will I learn?
By the end of the session participants will have a greater understanding of the types of mental health problems which will improve their ability to interact with clients and improve communication. They will also gain:

- Basic understanding of classifications

- Basic understanding of signs and symptoms

- Knowledge of the types of treatment available
