Who is it for?
These half-day courses are aimed at all those who work directly with vulnerable adults in any care setting for example Residential/day care/ hospital or in their own/or carers.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the programme, participants will:

The learning outcomes from the programme and the tasks provide much of the underpinning knowledge on this issue for NVQs' in health and social care and Skills for Care Common Induction Standard 5. While the learning on this programme is transferable and applicable to many performance criteria the most appropriate NVQ units are HSC24 and HSC35, level 2 and 3 respectively. These units are not entirely regarding abuse but have incorporated promoting independence, risk, danger and protecting individuals from all harm.


E-Learning
In addition to conventional training ESAB now offers an on line basic awareness training package consisting of approximately 2 hours of core study material. The training covers a range of topics including:

The programme links to useful documents, procedures and forms and concludes with an on line assessment which provides a random selection of 13 questions taken from a comprehensive questionbank. User results will be recorded for management information and learners will receive a summary of their achievement and a certificate.
The package is suitable for all individuals who work directly with vulnerable adults.
