ONE-DAY COURSE
Who is it for?
All staff; paid employees, volunteers or service users.
What is about?
Recognising when we are stressed and doing something about it are constant
challenges in modern lives. Stress doesn't recognise the boundaries of
work and home life and can express itself in many aspects of our lives.
This course will help you recognise your stressors (triggers) and work
out the best ways of dealing with it. We will also look at how we can
prevent or at least minimize stress, you will have the opportunity to
assess how well positioned you are to cope with stressful situations and
how you can 're-position' yourself to be more resilient to stress
What will I learn?
At the end of this course you will:
- Be able to describe your own physiological and psychological stress
symptoms
- Develop techniques in dealing with and minimizing stress
- Be able to recognise stress 'hot spots' and ways of minimizing the stressful
impact on you
- Develop new ideas and techniques in becoming more resilient to stress
- Be able to identify how your own behaviours and attitudes can influence
and impact the 'stressfulness' of difficult situations.
